Marathon man will chase Ness hat trick

Defending Loch Ness Marathon champion Mohammad Abu-Rezeq will be looking for his third win in a row as he defends his crown on Sunday.

The Jordanian athlete successfully won his second marathon title in Inverness last year when he completed the course in a time of 2:22:01.

And he is in confident mood that he can make it three-in a-row this weekend according to marathon race director Malcolm Sutherland.

"We have a very strong field competing on Sunday," he said.

"Mohammed has won the marathon the last couple of years and is fairly confident in setting a new course record so the pressure is on him."
