Pupils accused of drugs offences

By SPP Reporter

TWO pupils at a Black Isle school have been reported for alleged drugs offences after a police investigation.

The male pupils at Fortrose Academy are the subjects of reports to the Children's Reporter under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

It follows a Northern Constabulary's intelligence led operation yesterday (19.5).

Further police enquiries also saw a 36-year-old man from Fortrose arrested in connection with alleged drug dealing offences.

Douglas MacDonald appeared at Tain Sherrif Court today on petition and was charged with being concerned in the supply of class B drugs. He made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.

A force spokesman thanked the secondary school and parents for their co-operation during the investigation.
