TRAVELLERS escaped with minor injuries following a crash between a bus and a lorry this morning (Tuesday) at an A9 junction in Ross-shire.

The collision involving a double decker Stagecoach bus and a Wiseman Dairies HGV happened shortly after 8am at the Munlochy turn-off.

Police said occupants of the vehicles escaped with minor injuries.

The road was closed for around half an hour while emergency services cleared the scene.

Both vehicles were heading into Inverness when the accident occurred, causing further delays for soutbound commuters already affected by the road works at the Kessock Bridge.
