Morrison (20) will come straight into City's squad for Saturday's League 2 match at home to Cowdenbeath.

The forward hails from Keith, and his performances for County and a loan spell at Dumbarton saw him called up to Scotland's under-19 international squad last year.

"Greg is a big strong boy, I've watched him several times over the last couple of seasons and we tried to get him last season on loan, but lost out to Dumbarton," said City boss Gavin Price.

City's League 2 rivals Clyde, and League 1 side Stranraer were two clubs interested in taking in Morrison but he has elected to make the temporary switch to Borough briggs.

"He's chosen us ahead of several other teams. I think it fits for him as well and his heart is on the move as well which is good to know.

"There were a number of teams from our league and the league above that wanted to get Greg so it's really pleasing that he wanted to come to us.

"I'm sure he will do well, he's got the attributes to do well and it provides us with a great option up front."
