Ross County midfielder Ross Draper thinks that the Staggies may pick up more points on the road this season than at the Global Energy Stadium.

County travel to Greenock Morton today for their last of four consecutive away matches in all competitions.

But Draper thinks that with sides being more willing to play an open, expansive game on their home turf, the Staggies can take advantage.

He points to the league games against Alloa Athletic in Dingwall and Dunfermline in Fife as matches that could potentially be a sign of things to come against Morton this afternoon.

"They’re a good side, it’s a tough away game," Draper said.

"I think the Dunfermline game was a real plus for us, if we’re concentrating on the league going forward then we have to take the form that we showed against Dunfermline to our away games.

"I think teams will come out a little bit more when we’re away from home, and it might suit us sitting in and hitting them on the break.

"We struggled a little bit against Alloa because they sat in, and it was tough to break them down although we weren’t great on the day.

"We struggled to get going a little bit, but I think away from home we may find that our results may be slightly better than at home.

"Morton will be another tough test, they’ve done well, but we try to concentrate on ourselves and trying to keep a 100 per cent winning record going.

"I know it’s only been two games, but we use those things as motivation to try and get going, so if we can use that then we will do."
