Local shop broken into over bank holiday weekend

A shop which makes curtains and soft furnishings in Forres fell victim to burglars earlier this week.

Grampian Police are investigating the incident at Home Comforts which is located in Orchard Road.

Proprietor, Sandra Davidson who discovered the break-in, said that thieves forced entrance via a door. She said it had been an awful shock.

"It leaves a bad taste in your mouth," she said.

Thieves broke into the premises sometimes 5pm on Monday, April 9 and 9am on Tuesday 10 April 2012.

As a result of the incident, a three figure sum of cash was stolen.
