Schools take sport awards

LOCAL schools won national recognition for making the grade in the delivery of sport.

Forres Academy won a gold sportscotland School Sport Award, while Anderson's and Kinloss Primaries earned silver for innovation and achievement in delivering school sport in this academic year.

Moray Council Active Schools and sports development manager, Kim Paterson, said: "We work closely with school staff and the local community to make sure the way we deliver sports meets the needs of young people in each area and encourages them to take part in a wide range of activities. I'm delighted to see silver and gold awards recognising the success of this approach."
