Police are warning the public to be aware of cold calling telephone sales being made by a company BESTUKLOAN.CO.UK, who appear to be offering loans.

A Northern Constabulary spokesman said: "These offers are very attractive and may ‘seem too good to be true’.

"The caller offers a pre-approved loan with a low interest rate and requests a cash transfer in order to release the funds.

"The balance of the loan is never released leaving the victim out of pocket.

"Members of the public are advised against entering into such an agreement and are requested to contact their local police station should they require any further advice or assistance in relation to this matter."

Anyone with information can contact Aviemore police station on (01479) 810222 or information can also be left anonymously by using Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
