Nat Fraser appears in court

By SPP Reporter

MURDER accused Nat Fraser has appeared in court again.

Another procedural appearance in the case against the former Elgin businessman called at the High Court in Glasgow on Tuesday.

A fresh murder charge was served on Fraser (52) earlier this year which alleges he killed his estranged wife Arlene between April 28 and May 7, 1998.

Arlene (33) was last seen alive on April 28 waving the couple's children off to school.

Her body has never been found despite one of the biggest investigations ever undertaken by Grampian Police.

The indictment alleges that Fraser arranged for a car, registration B231 PDY, to be taken to Wester Hillside Farm, Mosstowie. near Elgin.

It is alleged that farmer Hector Dick then set fire to it, crushed it and transported it to a scrapyard in Elgin.

Fraser is also accused of assaulting his wife on a number of occasions between the summer of 1987 and November 1994.
