The event at the Thainstone Agricultural Centre, Inverurie – a new venue for the rally – saw Turriff romp home with a 67-point winning margin over second-placed Mid Deeside YFC.

The industrial section kicked off proceedings, receiving more than 650 entries in open baking, open handicrafts, photography, floral art, club displays in baking and handicraft and practical competitions.

This was closely followed by 102 members judging eight classes of stock.
