Arrest as police investigate Inverness stabbing drama
Police investigate the incident at Rosehaugh Road, Inverness.
MAN was arrested last night after a major police operation following an alleged stabbing incident in the South Kessock area of Inverness.
The arrest was made by armed police at a block of flats at Tannery Court.
It followed an earlier incident in near-by Rosehaugh Road when a man - understood to be Andrew Fraser (30) - sustained serious stab wounds.
Earlier in the day following another incident in the area, Stephen Ross (20) appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court accused of carrying a sword and assaulting two men and attempting to rob one of them. One victim is alleged to have been severely injured and permanently disfigured.
Both men were treated in Raigmore Hospital.
Ross is accused of assaulting a 25-year-old at around 7pm on Friday at Kessock Avenue and and 33-year-old man around 15 minutes later in the Quayside Court area.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
