Train services disrupted

TRAIN services in and out of Inverness Railway Station are disrupted this morning due to obstructions on the lines.

Trains between Inverness and Wick and Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh are currently suspended due to debris, including fallen trees, on the tracks caused by yesterday's strong winds.

A replacement bus service is in operation for passengers calling at all stops on both lines.

"We have organised replacement buses to minimise the impact on our customers and apologise for the disruption caused by the severe weather," said a ScotRail spokeswoman.

It is anticipated the lines will re-open around 1pm today.
