Man taken to hospital

A MAN has been taken to hospital after his car left the road near Invermoriston.

The incident happened on the A887, three miles west of the village, around 7am.

A police spokesman said the car had gone down an embankment and a man had been taken by ambulance to hospital.

His injuries are thought to be life threatening at this time.

The road was closed for a collision investigation, but has now reopened.

Firefighters from Fort Augustus and Drumnadrochit made the scene safe.
