Wildcats' North Conference win was perfect send-off
Robbie Paulin says Highland Wildcats’ North Conference Trophy win was the ideal finale for their graduating players.
The Wildcats won 32-12 against Merseyside Nighthawks at Bught Park after an immense performance from Rory Grant, who was named most valuable player after having 12 carries for a massive 215 yards.
Playing at home meant that players who will be too old for the Wildcats’ under-19s set up next year got their farewell in front of friends and family.
Paulin says that they tried to make the occasion as big as possible for those leaving.
"It’s always a strange time for under-19s when it’s somebody’s last game and it’s always odd because they’ve come right the way through the system," he said.
