WALKERS are being invited to take part in a ‘mini-pilgrimage’ to Pluscaden Abbey next weekend.

Participants will follow the beautiful Dava Way from Grantown-on-Spey to Rafford and continue along a track down the valley towards the abbey.

Both days will start with a hot drink and a bacon roll before departure, and you can look forward to a warm welcome and hot food on arrival at Pluscarden on the Sunday.

Bring lunch and arrange you own transport.

Free to participate, but donations appreciated.

Anyone aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Breakfast is being served at 8.30am on Saturday, August 24, at Dulicht Bridge near Grantown-on-Spey, which is the start of the Dava Way.

Park in the village and walk 200 yards along Seafield Avenue and pass the caravan park. The starting time is 9am.

The finishing point on the first day is Edinkillie Village Hall.

The hall is also the staring point on the second day. Same times.
