Irish country music star Lisa McHugh is set to make a return appearance in the far north.

The series will feature Irish crooner Lisa McHugh who took the Halkirk festival by storm on its final night. The 23-year-old, from Letterkenny, has become one of the hottest acts on the country music scene.

Her latest 14-track album is entitled Dreams Come to Life. Lisa has won 11 awards, including the Northern Nashville Country Music Club’s Artiste Of The Year Award for 2011 which she will be presented with on September 28.

The programmes can be viewed on the following channels: Sky 168, Freesat 110, Freeview 8, Virgin 188 and the BBC iPlayer and are to go out on Tuesdays 18 and 25 September and 2 and 9 October at 9pm before being repeated again on the following Sundays.

NNCMC members will on October 16 celebrate the 25th anniversary of the club in its present form.

The milestone is quite an achievement when so many clubs are being forced to close their doors.

The entertainment includes music from Nicky James, Johnny Brady and Gerry Guthrie.

The committee is asking members to hunt in their cupboards for any photos, posters or any other memorabilia or to recall any funny stories they have about their involvement in the club over the years.
