Lyth model and horse trainer Natalie Oag delighted children and disabled adults with a special liberty display at the weekend.

Natalie is one of the first professional liberty trainers and riders in Scotland. Liberty is the state of being free from restriction, being able to do as you wish and go where you want.

Natalie said: “When you apply this to training horses, liberty training relates to any work done with horses while they’re loose, without a whip, rope or reins, so they have the freedom to move around at will.”

The special event also featured a little rescue miniature pony called Mr Bojangles that “won the hearts of all the children”, she added.

One mum called Tara, who came along with her daughter Phoebe, said that they both loved the show. “Natalie has such a natural gift with the horses and ponies – they love her as much as she loves them. The connection between them is magical and breathtaking.

“Watching an artist at work with all this passion, energy, trust and bond that they both share at the same time is truly magnificent.”
