Catriona Manson, cook in charge at Mount Pleasant Primary, Thurso, was presented with flowers on her last day of work at the school after 15 years of preparing lunches.

The popular cook was also given various gifts on behalf of the whole school community to commemorate her time at Mount Pleasant. Among the gifts were some glasses engraved with the school badge.

Suzanne Urquhart, headteacher, said: "It has been an incredibly emotional day for us all. Catriona is going to be missed terribly by pupils and staff alike but we wish her well in the next chapter of her journey. She will always be part of our Mount Pleasant family."
