Wick Academy 1 Nairn County 0
Scorer: Weir (85)
DAVIE Allan earned the title of the best player in the HFL from his manager after a sensational piece of skill sent Wick Academy into third place.
In an entertaining encounter Wick Academy were always the most likely to score but a lack of composure in front of goal meant the game looked like heading for a goalless draw.
That was until five minutes from time when Davie Allan received the ball 40 yards from goal, rushed down the right wing before cutting into the box, beating four defenders to get to the six yard box and laying up Gary Weir to score from two yards to send the crowd wild.
