A missing man from Northumbria who police thought may have travelled to Dornoch has been traced, police have confirmed.

Officers in the Highlands had launched an appeal for information and help tracing Connor Scott (23) after he disappeared in Northumbria on Thursday, January 4.

At the time they said it was believed he had travelled to the Highlands and might be in the Dornoch area.

And on Saturday morning officers in the region confirmed that he had now been traced.

A police spokesperson said: "Connor Scott, who was reported missing from Northumbria, has been traced. Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
