Police confirm man last seen in Halkirk found safe

Police have confirmed that a missing man last seen in Halkirk has been found safe and well.

Concerns had been raised about the whereabouts of Martyn Jackson (51) after he was last spotted on July 5 in the Caithness village.

However he has since been traced.

A police spokesman said: "We are pleased to report that 51-year-old Martyn Jackson, last seen in Halkirk on Tuesday July 5 has been traced safe and well.

"Thank you to everyone who shared our information."
