A man reported missing from Castletown has been found safe and well.

Police on Tuesday this week issued an appeal for help in tracing Stephen John Jones (48), with concern for his well-being.

He was reported to have been missing from his home in the Caithness village for several days.

This evening a Polcie Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm that Stephen Jones, 48, who was reported missing from Caithness has been traced safe and well.

"Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal."
