Midnight premiere sells to female audience
THURSO Cinema is set to host its first midnight screening to an all female audience tonight for its premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II.
Over 200 tickets have been sold so far for the final instalment of the worldwide hit which stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, but the cinema have reported that it has been all women who have bought tickets!
Cinema owner Rob Arthur said that it was not a deliberate ploy to sell tickets to just women, but said that the movie has a large female following.
“Why all women?” he said.
“Its not that we’re not selling to men, it’s just that it plays heavily to women!
“We posted a notice asking if anyone would like to attend a midnight screening of Twilight and the reaction has been huge!”
Fans will be heading to the premiere in fancy dress as some of the characters who star in the movie to mark the cinema’s first midnight screening.
