Man's body found in Thurso

THE body of a man was found in Thurso this afternoon, police have confirmed.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that the body of a man was found in the Millbank Road area of Thurso around 1.35pm on Thursday, July 2.

"The family of 39-year-old Adam Pritchard – reported missing on the evening of Tuesday, June 30 – have been made aware of the discovery."

She added: "Formal identification is yet to take place and a post-mortem will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death which is currently being treated as unexplained."
