Man seen cuffed during 'concern for person' incident in Thurso

A man was witnessed being handcuffed and taken into the back of a police vehicle yesterday morning in Thurso.

The incident happened beside the Ellan Bridge which crosses River Thurso at around 10.45am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "There was no arrest – this was a concern for a person who was subsequently detained and taken to hospital."
