Fiscal depute Grant McLennan said that McPhee (39) of Harrow Terrace, Wick, got out of his car, walked over to the other man's vehicle and punched him “repeatedly, with force."

Solicitor Fiona MacDonald explained that McPhee, who pleaded guilty, had been at odds with the other man over a matrimonial issue.

Sheriff Neil Wilson ordered the accused, who works at Scrabster, to carry out 100 hours of unpaid community work.
