Man punched and kicked in Wick street





An attempt to end the bad blood between two men failed when they met in Ackergill Street, Wick.

John Macaulay (30) punched the other man once and kicked him after he fell to the ground.

The accused admitted the assault, which occurred in Ackergill Street on March 22, and was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid community work.

Wick Sheriff Court heard that the man’s partner came out of their house and found him slumped against a wall.

She took him back to the house and phoned a taxi to take him to hospital. The incident was reported to the police who traced Macaulay to his home in Ackergill Street.

The accused also admitted an offending record.
