Man dies in road incident near Forss

A man took ill and died this morning while travelling in a vehicle along the A836 road near Forss west of Thurso.

The road was blocked for some time while emergency services attended the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.30am on Friday, 21 May, officers were made aware of a 67-year-old man taking ill within a vehicle on Forss Crosskirk Road.

"Emergency services attended and the man was later pronounced dead at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
