Man denies discounting his own items at Tesco store in Thurso





A Thurso man is alleged to have created his own discount items by changing the prices at the town's Tesco supermarket.

Thomas Deighan is accused of removing the true price of items on May 9 and substituting lower prices.

The 26-year-old, of St John's House, Thurso, pleaded not guilty to a charge of fraud and one of theft, at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

He will stand trial on January 24.
