A Castletown man is alleged to have blocked a road with his car, forced open the door of another vehicle, and inflicted damage on it with a piece of wood.

Graeme Younger (55) denied at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday having behaved in a threatening or abusive manner towards the driver and attempting to prevent him from leaving the scene.

The incident is said to have occurred on the Durran Mains road, Castletown, on April 7.

Younger, of The Bungalow, Hoy Farm, Castletown, will stand trial on December 12.
