The case will call at Wick Sheriff Court again next Monday.

AN unemployed man admitted failing to meet a 7pm-to-7am curfew when he appeared from custody at Wick Sheriff Court today (Monday).

Donald Connor (40), of Fountain Square, Haster, pleaded guilty to being outwith his bail address at 7.15pm last Friday. The curfew was imposed by the court on April 6.

Senior fiscal depute David Barclay said the accused’s "distinctive-looking motor car" had been seen in Wick by police as the start of the curfew neared.

A check was then carried out at his house at 7.15pm but officers received no answer and there was no sign of the car. A witness later told officers the man had arrived home shortly after police left and the car could be seen outside the premises.

Honorary sheriff Anne Dunnett remanded Connor in custody. Sheriff Andrew Berry will deal with the case next Monday.
