A man has appeared in court charged in connection with a cannabis farm that was discovered in Wick.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Friday at the town's Girnigoe Street around 3.15pm.
However, on arrival officers discovered what was described as a “cannabis cultivation site”.
Amarildo Hate (47) appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court facing a charge of producing a controlled drug and being in the supply of drugs.
He made no plea and his case was committed for further examination.
Hate, of Norwich, was released on bail pending a future court appearance.
