A young Thurso man has admitted vandalising a window of his ex's house.

Joshua Anthony had sentence deferred for community justice social work reports after he appeared at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old pleaded guilty to wilfully or recklessly damaging a window of the house in Leitch Court on August 13 by pulling it open from outside with excessive force.

The offence was aggravated by it involving abuse of a partner or ex-partner.

Sheriff Neil Wilson said: "Given you have a previous conviction and the nature of the charge, I'm going to defer the matter for reports."

Anthony, of Park Avenue, is due to come back for sentence on November 15.
