Thurso man admits making indecent calls to three women
He was granted bail at Wick Sheriff Court and will be sentenced next month.
The court was told that an amended charge involved William Fraser (50) making a single call to each of two women in Caithness and a third to a woman in Macduff.
The calls were described as “grossly offensive, indecent, obscene or of a menacing character”.
These were made by the accused from addresses in Caithness and Macduff between October 11, 2019 and April 1 last year.
The case was continued until June 15, when Fraser, of Rotterdam Street, Thurso, will be sentenced after Sheriff Ian Miller hears details of the calls.
He will also considers a background report and a plea in mitigation at that point.
The accused was initially represented by solicitor Josey Donnachie, but she informed the court this week that she had withdrawn from his case.
