The county’s favourite musical sons The Maginot Band have a new web presence to go alongside their debut EP.

The six piece unveiled their new website this week ahead of taking the new EP Peace & Quiet to the masses in Inverness this Saturday with a gig in Madhatters.

The band made up of Jordan Shearer (vocals); Liam Whittles (organ); Kevin Swanson (guitar); Jamie Swanson (guitar and vocals); Calvin Wilson (bass) and drummer Darren Coghill launched the EP in spectacular fashion earlier this month by playing a psychedelically lit up abandoned cottage in the countryside near Watten.

The sunny new retro indie pop material written for the EP got a warm welcome from the revellers, especially for the new single “Slow Down Sundial”, a mix of 60s tinged nostalgia with a modern pop twist.

The video for the single can be seen on their new website as well as a list of upcoming gigs and more news about the band as they continue to strive for success.

The band made their debut at B-fest in Wick earlier this year, having played together for almost a decade under the name Maydays.
