Mànran gigs raise funds for Wick lifeboat
The entertainment promoter behind the recent gigs in Kirkwall and Wick by Scottish supergroup Mànran handed out a cheque for £1231 to the RNLI on Wednesday afternoon.
Christopher Boxall, events manager with HCE Services, expressed his delight at being able to donate the money and handed the cheque over the the coxswain of Wick lifeboat Alan Lipp.
"We are delighted by the turn out of the town to see the fantastic Mànran in Wick, at the start of the month, which also helped raise vital funds for our chosen local charity RNLI. Between both the Wick and Kirkwall events we have managed to raise £1231 which will be kept and used by our local lifeboat stations," said Mr Boxall.
