Lynette's birthday bonus for local groups

Thurso woman Lynette Maclean recently celebrated her 50th birthday and, having received cash gifts of £560, decided to give £280 each to clubs which she attends.

Barbara Haywood received a cheque for the Thurso-based Monday Club and Glynis Mackay accepted a cheque for the Caithness branch of Enable, the charity for people with a learning disability.
