Lybster man had no insurance for new car





A Lybster driver who used his car without insurance was fined £300 at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Aaron Saint also incurred six penalty points after he pleaded guilty by letter.

The 21-year-old was stopped by police officers in Market Street, Wick, late on April 3 and the offence came to light when they checked his documents.

Saint, of Shelligoe Road, Lybster, told the police that he had just purchased the vehicle and had not yet arranged insurance cover.
