A prolific Caithness writer is planning to have his next book launch in his own café at Lochshell called The Rumblin’ Tum.
Glyn Salisbury has been unable to hold a book launch in his usual venue of Wick Tesco due to social distancing rules.
"I have made a decision," said Glyn. "I am holding a Book Launch Weekend in my café, The Rumblin’ Tum, on Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, from 9am – 7pm."
The new book is called The Sanguisuge and continues the second trilogy about fictional Wick police officers Doug and Will Paterson. These trilogies have been Glyn's best sellers since 2017.
At the launch there will be on offer a free 10,000 word novelette from the author's R.U.N.E. series called A Meal to Die For which again, is based locally.
There will also be vouchers issued for a free tea or coffee; a free raffle and competition to win a signed copy of the next R.U.N.E book, Beneath Loch Ness; and the winners will appear in the next book as a character.
Glyn added: "There will also be a raffle to win a complete 13 copy set of my books to date, worth over £72.
"I am aiming to get the third and final part out for Easter 2021 called Bloody Highlands with the subheading Caithness is at War."
