Over 30 entrants will take part in the 35th Latheron Parish Ploughing Association competition near Watten on Saturday.

The annual ploughing match, being held at Cogle Farm, by kind permission of Mr James Polson, has attracted a total of 32 ploughmen from as far afield as North Kessock.

Judging the reversibles and vintage mounted ploughs will be Moray ploughmen Raymond Middleton and Cameron MacIver, while Graham Mutch and Willie Macdonald will be in charge of the 12" ploughs, vintage trailing and demonstrators.

A new trophy – the Streight Memorial Sheild – is being presented for the best novice on the field.

The presentation of prizes is scheduled to take place at approximately 3.30pm.
