Crofters in the far north are being invited to learn more about livestock health planning at an event in Wick next week.

Hosted by Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) and the Scottish Crofting Federation (SCF), the session will hear from Eilidh Corr, QMS animal health and welfare manager.

She will present the case for health planning for crofters, with practical tips on how to get the best out of the process. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions about the QMS Quality Assurance Scheme.

SCF chief executive Patrick Krause will take questions and hear crofters’ views on the future of agricultural support, crofting law reform and any other issues crofters wish to raise.

Livestock Health Planning for Crofters and Crofters Question Time will take place at the Pulteney Centre, Wick, on Tuesday, August 23, at 7pm. Refreshments will be available.

A similar event will take place the next day at the Strathpeffer Community Centre in Ross-shire.
