Leisure centres and visitor attractions to remain open during school break
High Life Highland leisure centres and visitor attractions are to remain open during the school holidays.
Following a trial in Sutherland, open swimming sessions for eight to 11-year-olds and family swim sessions will now be available at pools across the region.
Customers and families are being asked to pre-book their session online and social distancing must always be adhered to in all areas, including in the swimming pool.
Chief executive Steve Walsh said: “The safety of our customers and staff remains our highest priority and a huge amount of work has gone into ensuring our locations are Covid-safe, and that High Life Highland is doing its bit to mitigate the spread of the virus.
“We are delighted that we are able to remain open during the school holidays and give people the option to come along and enjoy the gym, swim, courts or fitness classes."

The charity has resumed services in 26 leisure sites and 17 libraries along with other activities being offered through youth work, outdoor activities, active schools, adult learning and music tuition.
Mr Walsh added: “We have received some tremendous feedback from our customers about being able to use our services again, as well as positive comments about them feeling safe in doing so. Our staff have worked incredibly hard to make that possible so that customers can enjoy our facilities once more. We look forward to welcoming more customers back during the school holidays.”
