Latheron Parish Ploughing Association’s annual ploughing match – originally scheduled for last month – is set to go ahead this Saturday at Quoys of Reiss Farm, by permission of Liam Gunn.

Organisers say there will be a good selection of vintage, conventional and reversible ploughs on show.

Ploughing will start at 9.30am and competitors need to be finished by 2.30pm.

The prize-giving will take place at the steading after 4.30pm.

Latheron Parish Ploughing Association’s last annual match was held in January this year at Cogle Farm, Watten, after two failed attempts last autumn when rain led to postponements. The event saw a third overall win for Gavin Robertson.
