An art and craft exhibition held earlier this month at Latheron Hall raised £600 for Caithness General Hospital (CGH) in Wick.

Joy Jackson heads up a Facebook group called Mr and Mrs Blood Drop which raises money for CGH and spreads awareness about the importance of blood donations.

"I’m very pleased to announce, with the support of local crafters and donations, the Mr and Mrs Blood Drop's annual art and craft exhibition raised £600 for the Blood Laboratory within Caithness General Hospital," she said.

"It was so good to get back to these exhibitions, that we have decided, not only to hold them in the first week in May but also have one in September. So there is no need to wait until next May – you don’t need to worry you missed us. We’ll be at Latheron Hall on Saturday, 30th September, 2023."

She added that she thanked all who took part in the event and donated and helped out on the day. "It really is a team effort."

The next event is at Latheron Hall on September 30 from noon until 4pm.
