FORMER World under-19 champion John Paul has failed to qualify for the final of the Men's Keirin at the Commonwealth Games.
The Lybster cyclist qualified for the semi final by coming second in heat three of the first round at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome earlier on Sunday afternoon.
But in the semi final stage he finished sixth, not achieving a top three finish to qualify for the final.
Paul (21) will compete later on tonight in the 7th to 12th classification races.
