Businesses in the Highlands and Islands seeking to turn growth ideas into reality are being invited to free workshops, including one in John O’Groats.

The Ideas for Growth session, hosted by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), will be held at 8 Doors Distillery on Tuesday, December 3.

Others are scheduled for Lerwick, Aviemore and Forres.

Each workshop will cover perspectives on growth, alternative approaches, sources of inspiration and practical applications for business.

Participants will learn what makes a good idea and how to prioritise, build on and develop it.

The sessions all take place from 9am to 1pm.

The initiative is part of HIE’s New Product Development Programme, aimed at established businesses with new products or services ready for market.

John Mackenzie, senior development manager in HIE’s innovation team, said: “We’re pleased to be hosting the Ideas for Growth workshops at locations across the Highlands and Islands.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses and entrepreneurs to come together, share innovative ideas and explore new growth ideas.

“By encouraging collaboration and creativity, we can drive sustainable economic development in the region. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this workshop will have on our community.”

Those wishing to reserve a place at the workshop in John O’Groats should visit www.hie.co.uk/events-and-training/ideas-for-growth-caithness-and-sutherland

Events have already taken place in the Outer Hebrides, Fort William and Skye.
