Jamie Stone welcomed a world-beating constituent today when strongman Tom "The Albatross" Stoltman paid a visit to the Palace of Westminster.

Tom (27), from Invergordon, won the World's Strongest Man competition in Sacramento, California, last month.

Mr Stone, the Liberal Democrat MP for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross, said: “I was utterly delighted to welcome Tom to the Palace of Westminster and congratulate him on his incredible achievement as the World’s Strongest Man.

“What was even better was seeing so many people on the parliamentary estate, from our fantastic security team to the Speaker of the House of Commons, recognising him and offering their own congratulations. He has certainly inspired a lot of people.

“I am so proud to call Tom a constituent. He is a fantastic ambassador for Easter Ross.”
