Jail warning for driver nabbed 4 times while disqualified

A sheriff has warned a driver who recorded his fourth conviction for driving while disqualified that a prison sentence is among the options open to him.

Nathan Strother (29) pleaded guilty at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday and will be sentenced next month.

His latest offence took place on March 15, last year, in Mayfield Road, Thurso, where he lives.

Sheriff Neil Wilson called for a background report and told Strother that he had clearly “no heed, whatsoever”, of the law.

Strother was allowed bail and will return to court for sentence on March 19.
