Incident at Scotscalder as trespassers hold up train

The Wick to Inverness train was held up due to trespassers being on the line near Scotscalder at around 4.45pm on Wednesday, April 5.

A ScotRail spokesperson confirmed that the trespassers delayed the service leaving Wick at 4pm by 41 minutes and that police were called.

A net was allegedly on the railway track near the Scotscalder station.

The paper has contacted British Transport Police for an update on the incident.
