Incident at Duncansby Head lighthouse – coastguard and ambulance attend

Just after noon today an incident occurred at Duncansby Head lighthouse in which coastguard and ambulance personnel attended a person who suffered an injury.

A spokesperson for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: "Just before 12.15pm today, Duncansby and Wick Coastguard Rescue Teams (CRTs) were sent to the Duncansby Head Lighthouse to assist the Scotland Ambulance Service with an incident. CRTs helped to lift and transfer a casualty to a waiting ambulance."
